Zebra

Ancient Africa remains a realm where instinct decides survival. In the land of hyenas and waiting lions, the zebra is a proud symbol of strength and speed, firmly anchored in Africa. Its stripes are a mystery.

Their loud, brazen call carries across the savannah. Zebras confidently claim the space that is theirs. Every move they make confirms that this animal kingdom has its own confident future.

Puppet in a chair

Silent Resistance in the Foothills of the Beskydy Mountains.
The drawing depicts a traditional folk puppet from the Protectorate period, which became a symbol of the silent resistance of the Czechs against the Nazi occupation. At that time, puppet actors toured rural pubs and, under the guise of fairy tales, secretly encouraged national morale and patriotism. The motif of Lysá hora — the highest point of the Protectorate at that time — together with the fateful year 1941, refers to the proud resistance of the Beskydy region, where culture served as both a weapon and a refuge from oppression. Pencil drawing. Dimensions: width 395 mm. Height 455 mm.
